My name is Joseph Gessler (a.k.a. Ricky); I was raised in Hendersonville, NC, where I worked as a painting contractor. The second oldest of a homeschooled family of 12, I decided to pursue a career in music at the age of 28. I received a bachelor’s degree in music composition and education from Nyack College, and a master’s degree in composition from the Greatbatch School of Music at Houghton College. Many of my compositions can be found on YouTube under “Ricky Gessler.” Besides singing and composing, I also enjoy playing guitar & drums, running, and sharing a meal with friends. I recently moved to Brooktondale and look forward to life in the Finger Lakes region.
