Families Together in NYS

Cayuga Thrives: Systems of Care is launching our Community Needs Assessment for parents, caregivers, youth, and young people (ages 0–21), and we are asking for your partnership in helping us reach families across Cayuga County.

Why This Matters
This assessment is a critical tool in understanding the real experiences of families and youth in our community—what is working well, where challenges exist, and what supports are still needed.
As providers, schools, and system partners, your role in helping elevate these voices is essential.

How This Benefits Your Work

The data collected will be compiled and shared in summary form with community partners, including:
·       Schools and districts
·       Behavioral health and service providers
·       Community-based organizations

These insights can be used to:
·       Inform program development and service delivery
·       Identify gaps and emerging needs
·       Strengthen cross-system collaboration
·       Support grant applications and funding opportunities

The more responses we receive, the stronger and more actionable this data becomes for all of us.

How You Can Help
We ask that you support this effort by sharing the assessment with families and youth through:
·       Email distribution lists and newsletters
·       Social media platforms
·       Direct outreach through staff and programs

Your connection to families is key in ensuring broad and diverse participation.

Timeline
The assessment will be open:
April 13 – June 13, 2026
