Congrats Ben Kulis! NYS American Welding Society (AWS) Finalist

Proud moment for our Welding teacher Jerry Meyer, and his student Ben Kulis, who recently competed at the AWS Thruway Cup State Finals in Albany!
After placing in the top four of 39 students from 13 other high school and CTE programs during the semi-finals, Ben competed against 15 other students from across New York State in three welding disciplines. He showcased outstanding skill, earning 2nd place in SMAW and 3rd in GMAW!
Shout-out to Ben for this amazing accomplishment, and to Jerry for utilizing the resources available through the AWS District 6 Syracuse Section to help promote the education of his students!
The Syracuse Section of AWS District 6 encompasses an area in Central NY from Oswego and Watertown to Herkimer, Norwich, Cortland and Auburn.
